Prep. Time: 15 – 20 minutes
Cooking Time: about 8 minutes
Ingredients:
Asian Sauce:
• 20 ml (4 teaspoons) sesame oil
• 20 ml (4 teaspoons) olive oil
• 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
• 2 cm piece of fresh ginger, grated
• 1 lemongrass stem, finely chopped
• 1 red chilli, finely chopped
• A few drops of fish sauce
• About 20 ml (4 teaspoons) soy sauce
• About 10 ml (2 teaspoons) honey
• A handful of fresh coriander, finely chopped
• Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Steamed Chicken:
• 500 g chicken strips
• Salt and freshly ground pepper
• Juice and zest of ½ lemon
Method:
Asian Sauce:
- Put all the ingredients in a small glass bowl and microwave for a few minutes. Season with salt and pepper and keep warm.
Steamed Chicken:
- Season the chicken strips with salt, pepper and lemon juice and zest. Steam in the microwave oven for 8 minutes or until cooked.
- Add the heated sauce to the steamed chicken strips and mix. Stir in the fresh coriander and serve with steamed rice.
